I'm using a 5742G Acer Aspire laptop computer with Acer ePower Management software. The latest Acer ePower Management software doesn't work with Windows 10 operation system. Can your company or software engineers release a new edition of the program compatible with Windows 10?

Answer by Stephen Prastman

If the software is planned to receive a Windows 10 update, then you'll most likely see the packages listed on the official website. Unfortunately, you can't request this or forward it to the manufacturer. The best thing to do is to wait. The drivers on the Support page provided by the manufacturer are for Windows 7 (32 or 64bit).

If you absolutely need the driver, rollback to Windows 7 from Windows 10 in order to use the application.

I want to ask why my battery does not fully charge when I finish charging? It stays at only 70% and never until 100%.

Answer by Alex Urbach

Enter configuration settings and then you can change the level where the battery can recharge. This is a feature implemented by the developer to speed the charging process. In some cases, 70-80% should be enough for quick procedures rather than waiting until 100 %.

Acer ePower Management depends entirely on your laptop. It may be supported, or not. You should visit Acer Support and look for your laptop model. At the Downloads section you can see the available downloads for your product.

I have a new laptop and I can't hear the beep of low battery. The laptop suddenly shuts down without any alarm. How to set the battery alarm for my Acer Extensa 4220?

Answer by Pete Clapp

Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Alarms and click on Alarm Action button. Uncheck the Alarm Action box in order to get sound alarms instead of having your computer shut down or hibernate. Also from the Alarm Action menu you can select the type of alarm notification and the threshold power level.

Yes, the application is fully compatible with Acer 5741G laptops. I suggest you uninstall your current version from your computer and download and install a compatible version from Acer website. Identify your laptop model, select your operating system and download the files from Applications sections. If you're not able to see the program, select All instead of Latest.
